Solo sailor Adam has arrived in Fiji to a warm reception at Vuda Marina, marking the successful completion of Leg 2 of the Mini Globe Race – an extraordinary 7,200-nautical-mile journey from Panama, across the Pacific Ocean.
This leg, the longest of the five-stage race, took Adam from Panama through some of the most remote and challenging waters on Earth. The route included brief stopovers in the Marquesas Islands, Tahiti, and Tonga before his arrival in Fiji. Along the way, Adam battled sweltering heat, long windless stretches in the Doldrums, squalls, and isolation – all aboard his self-built 19ft boat.
Adam is not only competing in this extreme sailing challenge – he’s doing it for a cause close to his heart. Through his campaign, he aims to raise funds in support of young adults living with and beyond cancer, partnering with the Ella Dawson Foundation.
Adam’s arrival in Fiji marks the halfway point in this 28,000-mile solo circumnavigation, and his courage continues to inspire supporters around the world.
